When will the World Cup 2010 OC contact volunteer applicants?

I applied in August to be a volunteer for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa and am yet to hear anything from the organizational committee. More than anything, I am curious if anyone else (particularly other Americans) has heard anything from them. I know they said that they will get in touch with applicants by the end of January, but I am starting to get anxious!
